This streamlines game play and does make it much easier and less frustrating to play. Instead of a dozen different types of currency to keep track of, upgrades can be purchased through the blue sparks you get from fallen enemies. On the bright side, Disney Infinity 2.0 fixed many of the errors that were not well received in the first version. Compared to Disney Infinity where there where you got a lot more playtime before buying packages, this one is a lot blander for the base price.

Switching to a new character often requires very different game play tactics, which can make each new toy feel very fresh and different. These differences help make them feel fresh and unique, instead of the same thing in different skins. While Iron Man might fly around the city, Spiderman must jump and shoot webs. It’s not just the difference between Spiderman’s costume and Iron Man’s. The toys themselves have been designed very nicely, so that they look and feel different from each other. This interface helps divide the space up more neatly, and help you orient between real and pretend. In this game, you are given a box of toys, a TV, and a console that lets you jump between the ‘real’ world and the ‘toy’ world. Whether you simply want to display characters on a shelf or take them onto a playground, there’s tons of fun things to do with your toys in this latest addition of the game.
